Jesse’s Story

written by Korey

Jesse was born in NJ but has spent time in SF, NYC, Baltimore, & Haiti before moving to Portland in 2015. She’s an engineer by trade and the CEO of “Jessorey Enterprises”, keeping us on task and on schedule. Jesse loves baking, reading, exercise, the New York Times crossword puzzle, Jeopardy, wine, and quiet nights at home. She’s intelligent, kind, patient, supportive, and pretty funny. She always puts others’ needs above her own. Jesse’s one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met and I’m honored to be marrying my best friend.

Our Relationship

written by Jessorey

We met in May of 2016. Our first date was awkward with me in a knee brace and Jesse’s quiet nervousness only made slightly more disconcerting by the thumb-twiddling.

Since that date, we’ve discovered a mutual love for travel - nearly matched by our love of nights in, together; “shared” countless Tilt milkshakes and I’ve beat Korey at HORSE three times.

As Jesse’s jumpshot and my coaching skills have improved tremendously, we’ve shared plenty of laughs together, a few tears, and are building memories each day.

Korey’s Story

written by Jesse

While Korey's love for the grandeur of the Pacific Northwest is evident in his photographs, he will tell all who ask (and sometimes those who don't) that he is, and always will be, a North Carolina boy. Anyone who knows him (and based on the number of people he greets walking down the street - that's approximately 80% of Portland and most of North Carolina) will tell you that his smile is contagious and his friendship is something to be valued.  He is a complicated man - with a deep, unabashed love for the entire John Mayer discography and an inability to go a day without picking up a basketball.  Most importantly, he is loving, kind and always ready to help anyone who might need it.
